Write Your Own Test Questions

You can't make new posts, but you CAN comment on mine.  Write your own potential test questions and put them as comments on this post.  If lots of you do it, you can try eachothers test questions!

Homework Assigned Monday, March 28th

  • Read sections 4.2 and 4.3 on pages 75-83 in the textbook.
    • Take notes using the outline method.
  • Answer question 4 from p. 78 in paragraph form.
    • Use the scoring guides that you received today to be sure your answer is complete.
  • Study for tomorrow's Chapter 4 Test.
Extra Credit
  • 3-D model of the earth and its layers is due Wednesday (up to 2 %)
  • Do the "Eratosthenes and Earth's Circumference" Lab from your book for up to 0.5%.  Due Thursday
  • Make a sun clock for up to 1%.  Due Thursday.
Other upcoming deadlines...
  • Notes for your presentation project are due either this Friday or after break
    • You should use note cards, including numbered references on one card.  Then keep track of which reference you used for which notes with numbers.
    • Include a different note card for each major topic that you will discuss in your presentation.

Homework for Friday, March 25th

  • Read section 4.1 on pages 70 to 74 of the textbook
    • Take notes in your notebook using a concept map.  At the center write "Earth" in a box or circle, then make 5 spokes, 1 each for...
      • Solar System Origin
      • Size and Shape
      • Interior
      • Heat
      • Magnetic Field
    • Continue adding important information to the appropriate spokes on your concept map.
  • Fill in your "Presentation Project Topic Choice and Sources" worksheet with your choice and 4-5 sources.  Remember to use the appropriate format for listing your sources!  (See the back of the sheet).
  • Other upcoming dates to remember:
    • Chapter 4 Test = Tuesday, March 29
    • Project Presentation Notes Due = Friday, April 1 (or Monday, April 11 if you want to work on them over break).
